Today 3rd and 6th periods took the DBQ Checkpoint (documents) quiz, and everyone did some pre-writing to prepare for writing your DBQ essay tomorrow.

We will do some additional pre-writing activities tomorrow, and then begin writing.  If we need to go into Friday to get your essay written, we will.

1st , 2nd, and 7th period classes took the DBQ Documents Quiz today.  3rd and 6th periods will take the quiz on Wednesday, 11/8

We will begin pre-writing for the DBQ essay on Wednesday in all classes, and will be writing the essay on Thursday and Friday if necessary.  Students will be able to use their pre-writing organizer as well as their DBQ packet to help them with their essay.  Those classes that received the rubric and the organizer already should bring those items to class on Wednesday.

We started our DBQ (Document Based Question) today – “What was the underlying reason for the start of WWI?”  Tell someone about why Russia and France got involved. 😉

RETAKE for Unit Test 3 is TOMORROW. Remember that if you’re taking the retake, you need to complete the remediation, and have a parent signature.  Those taking the retake have told me whether they are coming before school, taking it during class, or staying after school.
